The rolls were toasted — the finished product sitting there. It was just not well organized nor efficient. And yes, the rolls were wonderful and no one complained – the sun was not too hot and we all enjoyed the day.
1. The reason we had to wait was bc they had to toast the breads on each side– not bc she didnt care. That WAS as fast as they could go. Noone in my line was complaining.
2. Also BrooklynGreene, if you havent had your 1 lobster roll for the summer, I highly recommend trying theirs. No one was desperate– just enjoying the weather — and the lobster was kept cold– definitely did not have any ‘ooginess’ the next day.
Why would anyone be so desperate for a lobster roll…especially considering it’s outdoor fare and poses a higher risk of ooginess/next-day “problems”?
I have one once a summer in New England and that’s enough for the year.
There was no reason for the line for the lobster rolls to be so long – the woman running it was very nice but completely oblivious to the people waiting over an hour in the sun — she chatted and fluttered about as everyone patiently waited. She stood there talking to people about running out of paprika as the rolls sat there and people had money waiting to buy them!
flea superiority:
i haven’t been the flea in dumbo…it looks way more packed than it’s ft greene sister flea. can anyone attest to which one is superior?
