I wrote on my blog about What to Eat in Brooklyn – 63 Items and Counting (http://andamom.com/?p=382). I’d love to find some additional foods and recommendations!
Sahara is OK generic Middle Eastern food, but it’s a long way from being the best Turkish food in Brooklyn.
I don’t care for Dumont’s Burger anymore. I think it’s highly overrated.
And too expensive.
I thought Sahara was on Coney Island Ave. What am I thinking of? That big place? It’s really good, whatever it is.
Sahara? Pshaw! Taci’s Beyti is the best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Istanbul. I guess Coney Island Avenue is too bleak for Zagat’s.
Exactly, BH76. Now it’s all about the Brownstoner Restaurants section:

Zagat is so over…. Does anyone but tourists care?
I’ve always preferred the Diner burger over the Dumont burger.
DuMont WAS the best burger until they stopped doing those sweet vinegar-soaked red onions. Now its just an above-average burger.
