Taste Talks brings a three-day meal to Williamsburg this weekend, September 11 to 13, featuring a star-studded platter of famous foodies. Showcasing the intersection of food, technology, and innovation, the event calls Brooklyn “America’s hottest test kitchen” and “an epicenter of the food movement.”
The weekend will kick off with a “Sweet Thinking” dessert party Friday evening, hosted by Roots drummer Questlove and pastry wunderkind Dominique Ansel. (Questlove has selected the music.) Saturday’s lineup includes a chicken-and-waffles brunch, mother-of-pearl dinner, and various panels, workshops, demos, and conferences throughout the day.
Lectures will cover everything from Soylent to beet-based food packaging. There will be an Innovation and Creativity in Urban Farming panel, an insider look at the bread baking business from a roster of dough experts, and the exclusive premier of new series Food Hacking from Munchies/Vice.
There will also be a Kellogg’s-hosted, celebrity-created cereal bar. The weekend closes out with an All-Star BBQ and closing night Chef’s Party on Sunday. For the full lineup and ticket information, go here.
