In a sign that Park Slope retail has moved beyond mere fancy-rag shops and trendy eateries, witness the pending arrival of Stoned, a store that will sell rocks, crystals, minerals and meteors, according to its awning. A neighborhood source tells us the Fifth Avenue shop, between Prospect and St. Marks, is slated to open next month. i’ve heard a lot of buzz about this place actually.
think it will do quite well.
I see 3 or 4 lesbians every hour
wonder if they carry that crystal deoderant rock thing? There must be three or four lesbians left in the slope. Is this close enough to the co-op?
im still confused how 20 “asian fusion” places stay in business.
And the award for the most ill-conceived and remarkably off-target new business on 5th Ave…
The Super Hero Supply Store is a “front” for: http://www.826nyc.org/. It’s not about Kryptonite sales.
I suspect that competition from the “already been in business for a long time and have loyal customers” Super Hero Supply Store also on Fifth Avenue will no doubt seal its fate. You can buy kryptonite for what I think is a bargin price compared to what they are charging at this new place. They are doomed.
The odds of this place surviving longer than a year are about equal to it being ironically destroyed by a Prius-sized meteorite.
Whats the over/under on this place’s survival? I say under a year.
