The rush to open bars on 4th Avenue hasn’t quite kept up with the rush to build condos (what could?), but a new nightclub will soon open on the thoroughfare, joining the cluster between St. Marks and Bergen, and farther south, Cattyshack. Garfield’s (on Garfield Street and the west side of the avenue) is set open within the next month or two. We don’t have a ton of details about the business, which is going to be a nightclub, but the under-renovation space has looked extremely large whenever we’ve peeked in. GMAP

Um, yea…Gowanus IS a neighborhood in the city of Brooklyn…how else is it supposed to “feel?”

And before there were bars/clubs on 4th avenue, did you ever bother to leave the confines of Park Dope and go an avenue further West to explore what already existed there?

Is “shoot some pool” a code word for playing ‘pokey-pokey-in-Gow anus’? If so, I’m IN!

In other 4th Ave news, who has been tagging all the buildings lately?

Anyone else notice a big upsurge in graffiti on 4th Ave and in PSlope in general?!

  3. 2:56 here…

I like helpin out a fellow breeder in scoring the ladies, in fact.

You know they love the gays.

If I could find a guy half as easily as I find the ladies (are they BLIND?) I’d be golden.

    Wanna shoot some pool sometime?

  4. Not sure, 3:01. But I have to say it sounds vaguely familiar. Doesn’t sound too far off from my drunken night at Catty last Friday.
Except I picked up some Doritos and a Milky Way in addition to the cigs on my way home.
