StreetLevel: New 4th Avenue Bar On Tap
A bar called The Sackett is scheduled to open in a week or so in the former Latin American Cafe space near the corner of 4th Avenue on Sackett (natch). The watering hole will mainly focus on classic cocktails but will also have four beers on tap and a selection of bottled brews. GMAP

I just read this thread and now I’m craving my 7:30 constitutional early!
To me it means it’s going to be one of those $9 a drink cocktail places like Weather Up or that carriage house place in Fort Greene.
Exactly denton – ‘classic cocktails’ are all based off 3 drinks – manhattan, martini or gimlet with numerous variations.
Yeah Rob, I hear ya. I’m just getting the vibe that ‘classic’ is about stuff like Manhattans, Rob Roys, Martinis, and such that you can get in any Irish bar, rebadged to be ‘classic’ at double the price. I’m waiting for the barfly’s like DH to tell me I’m wrong.
lol denton, isnt your classic cocktail a pina colada?
