We gave Cataldo’s a brief mention in the Food & Drink Round-Up at the end of last month, but didn’t get a chance to pass by the wood-oven pizza restaurant at 554 Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights until last weekend. In addition to ‘za, the former Nino’s crew is serving up a full range of pastas, meats and fish. Anyone tried it yet? Update: Blog OutAboutBrooklyn tried it and liked it! GMAP
“it’s actually “brah.” seriously, i’ve seen it written in e-mails.”
Naw it’s actually “bruh.” seriously, i’ve seen it written in The Ghetto.
The What
Someday this war is gonna end..
The pizzas are great. I ate seven of them last week.
They catered my sons birthday party last week we ordered for fifteen
the food was great there was enough for fifty.
The veal parmigiana, chicken rolletini, mussels marinara great salad
the rice pudding was included as a gift also a must
great family place run by a great family and friends
wtf is ‘za?
ohhhhh, pizZA.
it’s bad enough when the posers say “let’s go out for a pie” or ” hello, i’d like to order a pie for delivery”
but ‘za is ser OTT.
I walked by it the other day and thought it looked like a nice place. I wonder if they deliver to Park Slope.
my family ate there 2 weeks ago for Valentine’s Day. We had a couple kinds of pizzas and a salad. It was great. The crust was thin and baked perfectly in their wood oven. The toppings were delicious. We were able to bring our own bottle of wine. It felt like a really good neighborhood place. Perfectly clean and welcoming. I am a pizza maven (having searched throughout Italy for its’ best) and highly recommend this place.

People that say “za” call their friends “bra”.
> ‘za
Sweet Jesus on a pogo stick.
At least you didn’t say “Vandy” or “ProHi”.
