Now that its renovation is nearing an end, the Atlantic Avenue YWCA is looking to rent out the double-height space fronting Atlantic Avenue as retail. (Presumably this will mean significant alterations to the facade, no?) The offering includes 4,550 square feet of floor space plus another 1,800 square feet of balcony space. They’re asking $60 a foot which seems a little pricey to us. What kind of business would work well in that space, do you think?

I think this section of the YWCA was the auditorium. Sometimes rented out for community use. There was a not bad swimming pool above this on 3rd floor.
There was a sauna in men’s locker room but in no way resembled previous tenant and current Lucky Chang site on 2nd avenue. Jeesh, you must be old like me to remember that.
