Simple Pleasures Cafe Opened Monday on Dekalb and Throop in Bed Stuy
A cafe called Simple Pleasures Cafe opened Monday at 833 Dekalb Avenue in Bed Stuy. They are serving coffee and had a few pastries when we stopped by. It’s on the corner of Throop about six blocks from the JMZ stop at Kosciuszko Street. Has anyone checked it out? GMAP

This place has a long way to go to be desirable. Everything is cheap and unattractive from the packaged croissants to the plastic serving trays. We’re disappointed. Burly Cafe looks like it’s going to be attractive. Feeling hopeful.
This intersection going towards Tompkins>Marcus Garvey is ripe for venues. I hope its the beginning of something good. I hate going to other nabes to dine (in or out) Eateries around the area suck with three choices bad Chinese, bad, bad Chinese and horrible Chinese. It is so bad there aren’t even any fast food spots and I don’t care for Spanish pizza.
What with Vin de Table opening yesterday, and Cafe Burly later this year, this is turning out to be a busy little intersection…
Haven’t checked it out, but I did see that they have applied for a liquor license. Exciting!
