Developer ASH NYC is planning to transform the former Dannenhofer’s Opalescent Glassworks on Himrod Street in Bushwick into a 70,000-square-foot mixed-use development. Wyckoff Heights dug up the renderings for the project at 330 Himrod Street, between Wyckoff and Irving, which will have 80 apartments and retail.

Ari Heckman and Jonathan Minkoff, the founders of ASH NYC, apparently worked on “housing for hipsters” at Cayuga Capital, before leaving to start ASH in 2008. The old brick factory building is flanked by low gray garages, which will be demolished to build glass wings on either side, five stories on the left and four on the right. We think it looks pretty great, especially for new construction in Bushwick. What are your thoughts?
