We never knew this, but Rashid Music, previously of 155 Court Street, is the oldest and largest distributor of Arabic music in America, dating all the way back to 1935. It is still selling music on its website, but Rashid moved out of the storefront just a week or so ago. Now a tipster tells us that “Beastly Bites, the pet-supply store, is moving from its smaller spot across the street into the spot occupied by Rashid.” They weren’t sure what would be going into Beastly Bites, but that will open up a nice little space with some great foot traffic.
Is “Liberty” the black cat still there? He ran the show.

Hello People there are two cats! And this is definitely their move.
That cat is my bff whenever I go in there. I used Beastly Bite for years- still go in when I take one of my guys to see Mr. Vet across the street.
That cat is actually the owner of the store. The move across the street is to take advantage of the afternoon sun at nap time.
