quotation-icon.jpgyou know, park slope doesn’t really have great subway access, yet somehow people continue to survive. personally i don’t see quincy & franklin as the middle of nowhere. it’s not that far from the subway (okay, the C), i lived near there for many years; friends of mine still live there. it’s not the middle of nowhere to the people who live there. anyway, to his point of luxury condos in desolate areas, i’m all for it! who better to live in no-mans land but the affluent, who not only can afford sparklin new condos, but also probably have cars and the means to go out and get the groceries, or freshdirect, or vases or whatever rich people go out to buy. let’s build some luxury hi-rises in the Flatlands. put in underground parking and rake it in!

  1. 7 mins to wall street for me, but I don’t count because I live in the land of Jersey.

It will be interesting if the MTA bumps the subway fare to 3 bucks when we are still $1.75

The Port Authority will prob follow just to keep inline but we shall see.

  2. All subway stops don’t have bathrooms because people are pigs and don’t know how to clean up after themselves. If subways had bathrooms, they’d be taken over by miscreants in no time flat! Would you want to use a subway bathroom, even if one was available? I’d rather wait until my destination.

  3. don’t forget the R train!!! i like to call it the Rob train cuz even during rush hour it seems like im the only one on it! (im exaggerating, but just a tiny bit.) it’s definitely the most relaxing train during rush hour i’ve ever had to deal with. i hope all those new condos on 4th avenue don’t ruin it anytime soon 🙁

  4. He means central/south slope near the park where most people only have easy access to the F train.

Subway access in north slope is far better. The Q or N to union square is particularly quick. The 2/3 to Manhattan is OK as long as you don’t mind being squished in (during rush hour).
