Thanks to oppressive zoning laws amongst other government interventions in the market, there is a housing shortage in this city and has been since the 1960s. When people are desperate for housing, they will take anything that functions and a domicile. Perhaps someday we will return to the good old days when developers actually had to compete for tenants and/or buyers. I can dream.
