Dreaming of a warm summer night under the stars in Prospect Park? It’s not too early to begin getting ready for the annual summer bash in Brooklyn’s back yard.

The Prospect Park Alliance will be hosting another Prospect Park Soiree, a big dinner party at the park’s Peninsula. Bring your own tasty dishes and drinks and celebrate another year in Brooklyn’s backyard while enjoying an evening of music and entertainment.

The event encourages guests to make a statement and wear a festive hat or headpiece and bring some drama to their picnic table. Many attendees take this opportunity to show off some creativity seriously, carrying in thematic accessories to make their table stand out. Last year there were elaborate flower arrangements, tablescapes that color coordinated with the attire of the diners and whimsical signage. Part of the fun is wandering amidst the revelers and checking out the inventiveness of Brooklynites as they celebrate the community gathering space that is the park.

The festivities take place Saturday, June 22 and the gates will open at 5 p.m. The event is limited to those age 21 and over. Individual tickets are $45 per guest and are available online — you can also buy a pack of tickets for a group of 10 and receive two complimentary bottles of wine.

All proceeds benefit the Prospect Park Alliance in their efforts to keep the park looking beautiful. To buy tickets or to learn more about this year’s Soiree, click here.
