Village Voice writer Silke Tudor describes one of the more bizarre dinner parties you’re likely to read about anytime soon. After responding to a posting on something called Nonsense NYC, she is invited to attend a banquet inspired by a group of outlaw urban explorers called Dark Passage. She’s shuttled by an old surfer van to an old crumbling warehouse on the South Brooklyn waterfront. After scaling a chain-link fence, climbing a fire escape and hiking up 12 stories of rickety stairs, she’s treated to a lasagna dinner and the serenading sounds of a woman named Erica Freas. All in a good night’s fun. Who can tell us more about this Dark Passage group?
