Bed Stuy residents have been anticipating the arrival of Butternut Market for the past three years or so, ever since Solomon’s Porch closed up at the storefront at 307 Stuyvesant Avenue. Based on signage that went up yesterday, it looks like there never will be a Butternut Market. There will, however, be some kind of organic market.
