The way you describe it (you screamed on new boss’ best friend/flunkie as the boss looked on in shock), you were sending an aggressive, passive-aggressive message that you dislike the boss.
Sounds like that came across. The only question now is what the repercussions will amount to. Becuase it’s safe to say there will be a reckoning.
