For 2011 I say we increase monthly PLUSA dues to pay for the following:
An Official PLUSA Hospital where we sickies can go and convalesce in true comfort:
-state of the art adjustable beds
-automatic glitter sprinklers in the ceilings
-a mind reading laptop that stays plugged into ‘Stoner and types our comments as we think them (no hands needed!) and refreshes the page automatically
-topless nurses who give sponge baths, massages, mani/pedi, facials, etc. Happy ending not included in the Basic PLUSA Health Coverage Plan. (sorry)
-home cooked meals brought in by Cobble, Denton and Mrs. D (you all are fabulous cooks!)
-a limo ride home once you are well.
I don’t believe you were in the OT at the time, but my log-in used to be CarrollGardened, until Biff shortened it to CGar. In certain circles, I am known as CarGar, which is how Snappy shortened my log-in, but only the 4 craziest cat ladies are allowed to call me CarGar. And, only my PUMA girlfriend can call me CatGar.
Anyway, I lived in Carroll Gardens when I first registered, back in ’06 when I was HOTD. Now, I live literally on the Brooklyn Heights-Cobble Hill border. Cobble is correct that most of the PLUSAs have been to my place (and met CDog), and several have even stayed with me (nh). I don’t want to post the coordinates though. Suffice to say, I live within a few blocks of Montero’s.
“Mr. Bu hugged to my chest (he’s very warm!) and both of us wrapped up in a blanket. He loved the snuggle time. I just wanted to get warm. ”
I had the visitor kitty draped across my chest last night, I was grateful for the extra heat. Meanwhile my hands are frozen half solid even just typing here. I need those fingerless gloves! (This is nuts!)

“I don’t get the whole gay guy goes straight thing.”
Not the first team change for me, denton. I’d be happy to discuss with you, but not here. Who am I, dave???
rf, as you may have gathered, I was just teasing.

“As for where I live, I’m sorry, but I’m really not comfortable letting anyone I met in some Internet chat room know where I live.”
BAH HA HA HA HA HA! Meanwhile, half the OT has been to your apt!
“Not only that, I wouldn’t want to meet any of them! A recipe for the flu and probably other diseases. ”
I’m not saying a word…
Perhaps today’s OT should have been labeled the “Sick Room Edition.”
rf – you are a kind soul. Thanks for yesterday.
Luckily my breathing has been kept in check by constant use of my nebulizer. Without it, I’d probably have died some time on Tuesday.
“so I breathe through my mouth and my throat gets all dry and sore!”
bh can probably help you with that.
