We went to the same small boarding school in CT together – about 110 people/grade. He was a year behind me. Everyone knew everyone. He had his own band even back then. I did some tech work on school productions, and he was the band, so were friendly. And we all lived in the same dorm together – they weren’t separated by class. He still goes to reunions. Haven’t seen in a number of years though. Was always a really nice guy.
As long as I’m name dropping, I also know Adam Duritz, lead singer of Counting Crows. He was in my class at the same school, and was actually one of my closest friends.

I just learned how to get a booth at Smith and Wollensky! Give the host a couple of twenties and you get a booth and a round of drinks to go with it.
