  1. Biff, are we talking only fractionally not fitting through the door or a big chunk?

The doors will come off the fridge, reducing its depth by about 2-3 inches.

Re the countertop being in the way, could it be removed temporarily while the old fridge is being moved out?

Hiring a crane is expensive and I would think that the cheapest and most efficient solution would be to cut it up if the above ideas don’t work.

  2. Jessi,
The What’s point is about future mortgages rather than existing mortgage bonds. You are right – it is better for the holder of a distressed bond to get something back rather than nothing. But if the government can arbitrarily change the investment terms in future without necessarily offering bondholders something in return, then bonds in future will have to reflect that risk in how they are priced. In other words, new bonds would carry higher yields to reflect the greater uncertainty.
Personally I am not sure that this will be as big of a deal as he makes out, but his logic is right.

  3. Thanks Biff, but I don’t need a fridge. Maybe advertise it on Craigslist and tell the folks to come get it out safely and they can have it for free. That should inspire some creative folks to come on by and have at it.

  4. G10, yes, thanks for your comments in the Forum. I saw them. The dolly thing won’t work because the old fridge won’t fit through the passageway even with the doors off. It’s very deep.

Snappy, I thought you were never going to show up to a ‘Stoner party anyway, so why do you care where it is?

  5. Heather, are any of those places around Clinton Hill area? I wanted to have it in that neighborhood since so many people who have shown up at prior gatherings were from CH, Crown Heights, Park Slope and Bed Stuy.

Snappy, old one is definitely in good condition. Not sure we’re looking to sell it, but if you want it, it’s all yours if we can get it out in one piece.
