  1. “Haven’t been to El Almacen yet – how are the drinks?”

Now there’s the big tradeoff — they don’t have any (yet). It was BYOB. The food is amazing though. When they do finally have drinks the line will be five miles long.

more4less, we’re looking at places that will cost the same as renting but have double the space. And our rent is very low.

  2. mopar, that’s the big trade-off if you buy something now -cant dine out as frequent as now while renting. Owning has it rewards and it comes with a cost (beyond financial) hence renting is not necessarily bad.

  3. “Walter is not the 2nd best restaurant to open this year. El Almacen is much better.

DH, have I heard of Barrio Chino? I practically live there.”

Haha!! I’m sure we’ve probably been @ BC at the same time. Love that place. Habanaero Margarita is bananas.

  4. Did you hear about the new “baby shaker” app that Apple had to remove from the iPhone? You can vent your frustrations by shaking a virtual baby!!!!

I bet it’s be a hot seller in PS.

  5. “momofuku is sushi? where’s that located? only williamsburg place I drop by ocassionally is SEA and I think I’m bored w/ it plus think quality dropping with each visit”

Momofuku is more of new american fusion with asian flare.

There’s 3 momofuku restaurants all on 1st ave in the east village. ssam bar is chef david chang’s most popular – food is very creative and reasonably priced. there’s also “noodle bar” and “milk bar”

Ko is his newest restaurant – it only has 12 seats around an open kitchen. no menu, just a 10 course tasting menu for 100 bucks. absolutely fantastic. currently the hardest reservation to get in the city (worth getting anyway) It was awarded 2 michelan only a few months after opening.
