Dear Mr. Champion:
It has come to our attention that a complete list of corporate double speak is required to maintain efficiency on today’s Open Thread.
As you appear to be the most qualified member of the team to compile a complete list of such information, we would greatly appreciate if you could prepare this list.
As we deem this issue to be mission critical to the Open Thread, your timely response is essential.
Please note that distribution to the entire Brownstoner community will be handled by Mr. What, our Chief Communications Officer. However, the list must be vetted by the posters to today’s Open Thread and must be posted here prior to approval and distribution.
Team Open Thread, thank you for your current contributions to the double speak committee. We look forward to your continued value-added suggestions.
Hmmm. I guess I won’t be trying their chili any time soon. I don’t really go to Wendy’s anyway. They get mad at me for asking for my Jr. Bacon Cheesburger plain. It’s like they are offended that I don’t want that yucky mayo and other garbage they try to pass off as lettuce and tomato.
Rob, when my sister was in HS she and her friend got a job at Wendy’s and back then the chili was made from burgers but, they were cooked fresh and chopped up by hand.
wendy’s chili is pretty decent actually but very inconsistent. sometimes there is no meat in it at all! which isnt so bad as i dont like beef. that and the fact that i heard rumors that wendy’s just wipes the meat droppings off their grills to add to the chili. ew! okay now i feel slightly ill.

I prefer the Whopper over any other fast food burger.
Rewrites welcome.

Okay, here’s one that I actually enjoy, “you’re not the only tin can in the dump.” This is usually said around salary negotiation time.
I guess as far as the chili goes…
It is what it is.

Have no idea what they do now.
Rob, your rant is totally justified.
It also used to be thick and goopey, now it’s watered down to the consistency of thin broth.
I used to love to get a chili and a baked potato and pour the chili over the potato. Best $2 lunch.

I know I’m late to add:
“It is what it is”
Everytime one of my coworkers says that my heart shrivels a little inside.
