“ENY, he just smacked at you in the horror show thread. Again, I say middle finger indeed.”
Hey, I was in a meeting. I responded to his post, and while I do understand his viewpoint, I respectfully disagree.
“ENY- that’s also true but I think the rancor against Jon is a little over the top.”
I don’t hate the guy. I don’t even know him! I just think his “Horror Show” post is a thinly veiled form of snobbery, and his request that his posters post more “interesting” material in the Open Thread smacks of hubris. Benson’s 1:12 post and dittoburg’s 12:57 post pretty much sum up my feelings. From where I sit, there’s no question Mr. Brownstoner did a poor job of handling his “issues’ with the tone of commentary on the Open Thread. As a PR guy, I can tell you it’s bad policy to piss off a percentage of the people upon whom you rely for your livelihood. OK, that’s it, I’m done. Got work to do. Have a nice weekend, everyone.
If high priced hookers command 3-4 grand a pop (no pun intended), then I’m in the wrong field. Forget law. BRG, loan me some clear pumps. What size shoe do you wear? 🙂
“The thing is though is his blog and it’s our choice as to whether or not we come and visit.”
No disputing that! That is what I am pondering.
“I sure wouldn’t want him stopping by mine and telling me that I talk about the Housewives or my cats too much. ”
Disagree with you on this one. Your blog (very nice, by the way) is just that: a blog. This site, however, is a commercial enterprise. As I said above, I just cannot imagine treating my commercial customers in this way.
By the way, I just want to clear up one point. I never asked Mr. B. to eliminate the Horror Show thread. If you go back to the thread in question, I told him that it had become pointless in its present form, other than an exercise in snob appeal. I (and Montrose) had suggested ways in which the thread could evolve. I was trying to do this as a loyal reader.
Well, sorry to have hijacked this thread. I’ve said enough, and will think about it for awhile. Have a good weekend all (except for Randolph/998).

DIBS, do you get a bulk discount when getting more than one guy at the same time as the Sukkathai?
What would you charge, BRG (hypothetically speaking of course)?

You say this now, but when times are good I’ll bet you expect them to provide their own seeds for Chia Shaggy and Chia Scooby.
you too benson.
“BR..I’ve never paid anything remotely close to that.”
