I don’t know what you all are talking about. I find most Brooklyn shop owners to be very friendly and almost obsequious. I mean, if they are really the proprietors. Of course I’m friendly too, I don’t go in there all big-honcho like. It’s the store employees in Brooklyn that are just horrible. Is there anywhere in the world with ruder more sullen less happy workers than in shops and supermarkets all over the Boro? That’s why Trader Joe’s is such a pleasure. Happy people working at the registers and behind the counters!!!!
sam…yes…cook the rice, brown the meat, sautee the peppers, throw it all in a big baking dish with some tomato sauce and heat it at 350 or so until the top browns a bit.
Lots of salt when you eat it, even if you do have high BP like me!!!
Anyone ever had Lindeman’s Framboise? It goes great with salmon or tilapia. Oh, and it I’ll bet it also goes great with hardwood floors with cherry inlays 🙂 I think it also helps to bring out the texture of damask curtains.

I was serious. I found it hyporcitical of people to post a comment regarding commenting when they have NEVER posted anything else on Brownstoner. I’m not going to call anyone out, but there were a few that admitted to being long time readers and they were posting for the first time in that thread.
Troy, I don’t really care for shopping on 7th. They don’t really have anything I’m interested in. I used to dine there sometimes, but I haven’t in a while. I can’t attest to their friendliness.

I’m retiring and moving to UrbanDigs. This blog is too squalid for a person of my caiber. And the taxes are too high.
