Was this directed at anyone else as well??????????
Legion, the procedure for admission to gifted classes in NYC public schools is now centrally controlled by the Dept. of Education. If enough kids in a district take the test and qualify, the DOE will make a program in that district and if not, the DOE will bus the kids outside the district to a program. Did LittleLegion take the test?
“i dont know legion.. some people who arent all that smart can become whatever they want.”

I watched that Paris Hilton show.
[waits for laughing to stop]
I watch a lot of media because I am a lifelong student of American culture and media so i feel it’s important to keep up. That’s why I watched Jersey Shore and other such
“lowbrow” fare.
Anyway, I clearly recall Paris trying desperately to work at the yogurt factory. She was incapable of doing the required work. In fact she even dropped her cell phone in one of the containers and caused the production to stop altogether.
Paris Hilton : Fail :o(

legion it sounds like those people treatening lawsuits over their failing grades grew up being child abused (yes it’s a form of child abuse) by helicopter parents.
“Mr(s?)legion is dealing with a bunch of college aged students who are flunking out of various hospital/clinical programs because of academic failure. Inability to pass certain programs like Anatomy and Physics. Each and every one of them feels the need to get lawyers or make an official appeal. WTF, how do you appeal a 40% on a test?”
Reality sucks.
Probably more an issue of the litigious nature of society, especially New York City.

Legion, the appeal is a contributor to GDP – ie generates lots of billable hrs for lawyers.

There’s also the entitlement mentality which I think is the overiding issue.
