When they wake up on Sunday, how do these people rationalize that the world didn’t end tomorrow? Do they pick another date when the world is going to end and start planning for that?
I saw a truck near Fulton Mall yesterday covered in advertising banners that said “Christ Returns on 5.21.11”.
Those kids in the story sounded very mature and reasonable, like they realize their parents are insane but they’re still nice to them. Unfortunately, I have still not quite reached this level of maturity, but I am working on it.
It seems that among the “religious nutcase” community, only a tiny fringe group actually believes that the world will end tomorrow.
The ones who believe happen to be very loud and willing to spend all their time and money getting the message out.
Do alternate side parking rules still apply on the End of the World Day?
There were 4 or 5 trucks w/ signs on them & loudspeakers touring around the Slope last weekend telling people to shape up because the end is nigh.

Maturity is overrated…least that’s what I tell myself after I act a fool 🙂
Rob, how did you come to the conclusion you would’ve liked where your grandma is and/or Charleston? The south is quite a bit of change from here.
