Yes, my resignation was rejected, m4l, and, yes, dave, I’ve recovered from my faux pas, which, given some of the stories you’ve all told, could have gone a lot worse, though I still haven’t seen my big boss’s boss yet . . .
The important thing is that I’ve taken in stride everyone having a good laugh at my expense.

I several family members living in snottsdale now and my brother’s been there since he went to ASU in 1984… it’s a long way from my ideal home, but I have really come to appreciate some aspects of it. once you get over the shock, the desert can be spectacular. housing is dirt cheap (again) and if you know where to go you can find some very good food. excluding the miserable summer months the weather is amazing.
but hey, I grew up in des moines and everywhere is a step up.
