  1. “It’s hard for me because in my native land the concept is just communicated directly through a 5 MhZ directed energy brainwave transfer. These spoken words are quite awkward.”

You don’t use the universal iMeld? The new 12Mhz Vulcan mind meld? 🙁

  2. Re Brit accents and class…

I love Andrew Sullivan, erstwhile editor of the New Republic, Oxford educated, but from a middle-class Brit (Irish ancestry) background. He said he put up with so much shit on the issue of class in the UK (he was a smart kid and spent huge mental energy doing everything better because he wasn’t from the upper class group that typically attended this tony educational institution).
He said that he ultimately decided to come to the US rather than expend anymore mental energy in hating the blue bloods who gave him so much shit. He is interesting in that he is basically a conservative, (though he voted for Kerry and Obama), gay, Catholic, and wanted to become an American citizen (had a hard time because of HIV positive status). He is so articulate, intense, so smart and an attractive person. I also really saw things the way he did about the Bush administration. I could not vote for his reelection in 2004 and could not vote for anything that remotely looked the same as Bush international policy and voted for Obama.
