Semi-gloss is tough regardless DeLepp. Are you sure it was the paint and not your prep job? Any time you use semi gloss the prep work has to be impeccable. I almost always use eggshell, which is more foregiving.
I decided not to skim coat when I painted the half bath a few weeks ago and now I’m starting to really notice all of the little imperfections (looks like wall repairs were done poorly at some point before I bought the house) and am wondering if I should have skim coated. No one but the homeowner and gay guests ever notice that stuff though so I’ll just leave it.
lach…I just thought that it didn’t cover well and it required too many coats. One was a deep mango and yes, darker colors do require more coats but I think I also used a semi gloss white for the trim and didn’t like it. That was back in 1999. Maybe it’s abetter formulation now

She’s getting paint samples today so we can paint a few spots of wall with different colors and see how it goes with the couches. I might start painting as early as Sunday afternoon (I would start Sunday morning but my Finnish friends are coming over).â€
That color looks nice – maybe a little too gray, but nice. Finnish friends! Did you ask them to bring you a bag of pussi?
jackal, dave’s just not into behrs.
I used only Benj. Moore.
DIBS you got that blue in your LR on with one coat?? That’s pretty impressive.
