  1. Yeah, dibs, he didn’t even have grace to crack a smile which is the point after all. He just sat there with his hair, looking like he was a nano-second from charging Obama. (Hair looks like one of those bike helmets with a hard point in the front, maybe it is enhanced with polymers to protect his head).

  2. Yes, major commodity punchdown, but just as silver diverged sharply from gold (I made more money from being long Amazon stock than being long gold WHICH I have to say I bought when you guys were arguing about it in October) it is getting the biggest punchdown. This is all about positions getting more and more expensive to hold and then your usual panicky run out the door action by weak longs. Baby pop in the dollar post Osama.

  3. I’d say that between the release of the birth certificate, the White House Correspondent’s Dinner roast of Trump, and the take-down of Osama, President Obama had a good week.

By the way, I would vote for the first presidential candidate, of either party, who made a pledge NOT to go to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. This event is skirting close to the Academy Awards in gravitas. An event where the main point is to be seen, preferably with Scarlett Johanssen or some other bimbo at your table. Of course they dress it up with some nonsense that the proceeds will be given to some scholarship fund.

I think there is an opportunity here for a politician to tap into the populist angst in the country by announcing that they will not go to this now-celebrity event.

  4. “So we catch eyes, he smiles slightly with dignity and extends the reach of his long arms to offer me his seat.”

    haha that’s cool

it’s amazing how much non-verbal communication we do with complete strangers on a daily basis. you don’t get that in Los Angeles, or other cities where you drive everywhere.
