Sounds like you need to sneak out of work early.

jessi, I don’t think he was to be taken alive. Imagine what that would mean. A trial that would have to be open. A verdict. A prison. Even if found guilty at a military tribunal and shot, now they’d have to bury the body somewhere.

Sometimes it’s just easier this way.

jessi, there was a comment that a person doesn’t have to be armed to be considered a threat. Besides, you never know what they have underneath those robes.

I think you have to be extremely left wing, and more importantly uninformed about the situation, to argue that he should have been taken alive

Any thoughts on the seals shooting an unarmed Bin Laden? I found it interesting that someone said that while he was unarmed, he had weapons within his reach. I dunno, figuring he knew something shady was up in the house, wouldn’t he have picked up a weapon?
