Requiem for a Dream was an unsettling movie. It reminded me of Last Exit to Brooklyn which is a very distrubing novel set in Red Hook in the 50’s and made into a movie in the 80’s.

I’m about to head out to meet friends for Dim Sum at Nam Wah Tea Parlor on Doyers.
I loved it there before they did a dig renovation and passed the business on to a nephew of the previous owner, but have not been back since.
