  1. Yeah, some of my friends from jr high (well, okay, one of them) was always going to some weird dude or other’s house for some strange party. But she was a badass. I was too lame. Just posted rude shit on boards, (some things never change) trolled, and then dialed up to the local university to get on a MUD in finland somewhere.

Started playing games on a Heathkit (Heath/Zenith Z89) which used whatever shapes it could make out of some sort of shape font (??) or regular ascii. No real pixel control. Still, pretty great. There was something like Defender, something like Centipede, and something like Asteroids. All rad. Finally got a Mac SE at some point around HS, which was also great. But my best friend had a C64 and then a Mac IIx-something, so I was always jealous of his color screens.

Haven’t really played games since HS. Except for Lego Star Wars, which had me in its clutches for a while, and Rag Doll Blaster on the iphone (both versions of the game) which is *awesome*.

  2. i have a seriously impressive gaming collection. problem? no one in NYC would ever be impressed. at least no one who i dont find mad creepy and/or a thief. i wish Dr. Judy was still on the radio, i’d ask her for dating advice.

If you are going to be a gaming purist, the first version of Tetris available in the U.S. was for the P.C. I remember playing it on my stepdad’s luggable a few years before the Nintindo version came out.

im a console purist… not a gaming purist. i never EVER liked games on the PC.

we’re gonna have to agree to disagree here cuz that version sucked ass. and ew, stop going around saying you used to play with your stepdad’s “luggable” wtf does that even mean!? hahahah. no, i did play some earlier versions of tetris, but the the russian dude who made the original gave an exclusive PERFECT port to nintendo for the original gameboy… what i wouldnt do for a black cartridge Tengen released version of tetris on the original NES tho…
