  1. A man and a woman were arguing outside my window one night. The woman was pleading in a trembling voice, “Pllleeeaase leave me alone. Please. Please. I want to be alone.” I couldn’t make out what he was saying to her but it didn’t sound supportive.

A man walked by and attempted to intervene and the first man told him to get lost.

I called the police and they got there five minutes later, two cars. “She’s drunk,” the man said as the cops got out of their cars.

Somehow the woman began berating the cops and the cops began telling her to leave or they’d arrest her. “You’d better keep walking!” one yelled at her as the man dragged her away down the street.

  2. Pete- from the crowd outside the brooklyn children’s museum yesterday, maybe they already have. Saw a huge line down the block, first thought was “Oh, it’s Easter stuff” but then saw that a good portion of the line was Orthodox… and then though “Oh, it’s Passover stuff” and then remembered that the majority of the line was black.

So if it was for Easeover, then it would totally make sense with my stereotyped worldview. Maybe we could dye matzoh balls?
