Rob, since EMT’s are technically part of FDNY, and because firefighters are trained in basic first aid, you will often see them when someone calls 911 for an ambulance, unless they call a private ambulance service directly. I bet they checked her out anyway. No self respecting emergency medical people are going to take someone’s word on stuff like that.
rob- all firefighters are trained for emergency response. If you call 9-11 for a medical emergency, they will often be here before the ambulance and give you oxygen, and check you out.
