Auuuuughhhhh! Did anyone see the last quote in the NYT story about $3,000 brunches? A finance guy said they would have given up their cheesy excess, but then the government gave them $10 billion. AAAUUUUGH! I was skeptical about the bailout and now I say OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.
Meanwhile, we passed on the house in Ocean Hill that we were deliberating over for four months. It was HOTD in 2007 and dropped in price from $630,000 to $439,000. I think it might disappear soon in some insider deal. I wish someone here would snap it up and save it.

Try being the only black girl in the school, and then joining Brownies, the junior Girl Scouts. You can imagine what simple young minds did with that. Come to think of it, some of their simple parents had a thing or two to say, as well.
I also hated “flesh” colored crayons.

I remember those crayons btw. The name gave me the creeps- I wouldn’t use it. Besdies I thought people looked so much better in blue-green and red-orange. I guess I really wasn’t that aware until I grew older because I went to such a mixed school and lived in a project that was mixed. We went to each other’s houses and my parents never paid a second thought to who the kids were so long as they knew them and we were in classes together.
