Wow, Rob’s dog is a moonface!
huh? moonfaces LOVE to live in the ghetto cuz they think they are some sort of urban pioneers. sorry but i prefer living in a safe neighborhood, at least while i have my dog anyway. we were both slowly turning into hardcore hoodrats, and that’s not good
M4L, of course I did. I sent her all of the supporting documentation for her perusal too. She then said she’s still right since olive oil is high in calories, which turns to fat, which clogs arteries, so I should consume less of it.
Do all wives have a problem admitting they were wrong about anything?
“g10, adapt quick the ability to sleep when baby sleeps.”
Meh. I mean people always told us that, but then when on earth would you get anything done/keep your sanity?
And a second for wnyc. They’re good for a couple hours (I can’t remember how long their cycle is) and then the BBC kicks in which is also good. However, for 5am, podcasts are a real godsend. I like the BBC’s Thinking Aloud and In Our Time, and NPR’s Planet Money (and Brian Lehrer, though I usually listen to him live) are great.
(the wife just went back to work yesterday, leaving me back in charge of the 20mo and 3mo, so it’s been a lot of screaming infant that won’t take a bottle over in our house today. perhaps we could have an auxiliary babies meeting to the republican men’s club?? 😉

Rob, I was wondering, how’d you end up moving to park slope in the first place? Had you been in the area before and liked it? And did you get lost the first time you went?
it was kinda random. for a while i had wanted to leave harlem because the living situation was kinda sorta messed up. it was 5 people living there, my dog, a cat, and a chilean denghu. but then i started getting used to living there. then one day i was bored and went on craigslist looking at apartments and room shares for people who also have dogs and wound up taking the room on the spot when i came to look at it. i dont remember getting lost.. and the neighborhood seemed really nice. i didnt want my dog to grow up in the ghetto, so i moved.

biff, did you have the balls to tell Mrs C that she was wrong on the olive oil?
From what I understand, DIBS has had far fewer Open Houses than he has had Open Flies.

I think we should start a Democrat counterpart to the Tea Party – let’s call it the Cocktail Party & get drunk w/ power.
