I would say yes since most of us were here prior to the OT and continue to comment in other threads.

so randi- is that a bad thing, that Mr. B makes money from B’stoner? He’s put in the time and money to build it up,and he’s now reaping the rewards. Wouldn’t that make him an astute businessman? I don’t recall that brownstoner was ever intended to be a non-profit organization.Personally I think there are very few blogs I would call a service to the community because most of them, like brownstoner, are really personal points of view.

the blog Gothamist does a pretty good job about covering every significant story in manhattan and brooklyn, sometimes days before it pops up here.
