“I don’t fall in for automatic familial rights of succession when it comes to leadership.Nor do I believe in holding up certain individuals above others in terms of virtue, based on “contributions”.”
The Kennedy’s contribution to American society is a matter of documentation- trying to deny their impact is foolishness. Note: I said IMPACT. A neutral term. None of this has anything to do with automatic rights of succession. For that you can go to England. Again- you’re projecting.
There is really no sense talking with you because you are all over the place. The virtue of bacterium? *rolling my eyes.*
Hey slopey, I don’t think you ever haikued my morning commute.
“I got a window seat on the river side this morning, facing forward again. I watched the George Washington Bridge slowly resolve itself through the fog over the river.”
I’ll stick my toe into this argument.
I don’t have anything against the Kennedys, but it is hard to argue that the family as a whole has the same level of power as they did 50, 25, or even 10 years ago.
That does not mean that they are bad or stupid or poor or ineffective or anything else.
It does appear to support the argument that dynasties in the US have a very difficult time maintaining their level of power over multiple generations.
“Let me see again how I managed to offend so many people this time.”
Legion, you didn’t offend me. Then again, much as I love you (nh), you know I’m a member of the club who can’t possibly read the majority of your LONG posts.
“Oh, and jackal is just a regular middle class lawyer at a regular middle class firm earning regular middle class wages. That window seat is the only real perk he gets.”
BAH HA HA HA HA HA HA SNORT! BAH HA HA HA HA HA HA SNORT! BAH HA HA HA HA HA HA SNORT!
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that this is how he “feels”, but it’s pretty divorced from reality.
BHS,
that’s all I was saying.
😉
Before I reply, I need to look up preemptive.
And LOL that IJ thinks his question is raunch hour topic…..it’s so mild.

“…and your stand on the virtues of humility,
flies in the face of your subservience to a political name.”
Subservience!? Have you met me? : P

I haven’t read any of the legion / cobble / bxgrl dustup.
Can someone other than those three give me a synopsis?
