I don’t have anything against the Kennedys, but it is hard to argue that the family as a whole has the same level of power as they did 50, 25, or even 10 years ago.
That does not mean that they are bad or stupid or poor or ineffective or anything else.
It does appear to support the argument that dynasties in the US have a very difficult time maintaining their level of power over multiple generations.
I agree with that too. It also doesn’t in any way diminish my intense admiration for JFK and RFK. I didn’t always agree with Teddy but he was an enormously powerful and productive Senator. Nor does any of that diminish my admiration for YOU, Legion. (no April’s Fool). 🙂
