  1. Lech, MBA school is not that much cheaper than law school. MBA degrees (if not from killer top notch school) is really really watered down now – ie every freaking clown has one. Law degree is not as watered down

  2. …speaking about competitive public schools,
I had to register littlegirllegion for kindergarden this week.
I don’t think I had that much paperwork needed to get hospital privileges!
I also had to sign off on an agreement allowing school officials to randomly check in on my house to confirm that my daughter lives there.
All this after submitting birth certificates, copies of my deed and title, water bills and all kinds of medical tests.

It seems there are an awful lot of people sneaking into public schools these days which they aren’t zoned for.
    hummmmmmm.

  3. M4L are you comparing undergrad finance degree to law degree? Remember that law degree will set you back an additional $150k or so (at least – probably closer to $180k these days), plus the lost earnings while you are in school.

In my case the lost earnings were pretty much nil because I was logging before law school. And I’ve been fortunate in a lot of ways, for which I’m thankful. In hindsight it was the right decision for me but I think most lawyers who graduated from law school in the past few years would tell a different story.

  4. benson and lechacal,
I think you’ll enjoy this video on
    multiple dimensions,
The narrator speaks about selecting a single reality from
a probablilty wave of possible outcomes in the 5th dimension.
The title says 10 dimensions although string theory says 11.
Haven’t seen part two so I don’t know why they state 10.

  5. Lech, if I’m going to take my chances coming out of school now, I rather have a law degree than a finance degree. we talking about the long run. not just now. Most back office finance gigs are boring and pays peanuts too.

  6. I made my winery recommendation based on the scenery and setting, not the on how good their wine of the last few years was.

I agree with your overall description of Santa Barbara.
