guy sells mostly refurbished bicycles….google search on brooklyn vintage bicycles…
He is near Devon Ave…couple blocks off Gerritson. One I bought is new — a cheapie to ride around NYC and that nobody would want to steal.
Liked my lunch, a rice ball and a panele sandwich with ricotta on top.
The pictures in paper of Kruger/Tusano home do not do it justice.
pete,
How was lunch at Joe’s?
If you biked further down Ave. U
you would hit a waterfront park that takes a
detour around the marshlands there in Marine Park.
Seems every time Jackal posts something positive about his commute or work, Biff tries to refute it. Perhaps a move to the river towns is in the works for the Champion clan as well!
Pete, was Joe’s of Avenue U good? Haven’t been there in ages but the place used to be excellent.
Where is this dude who is selling bikes? I am shopping for a new one but I am always afraid that I’ll buy it off someone who stole it from someone just to get caught on it and locked up or punched in the face or something.
lechacal,
Thanks for the Quantum Mechanics link,
I can’t get sound here but I’ll be checking it out when I get home later.
I do recognize the professor (Susskind), he’s famous for pointing out the flaw in Stephen Hawking’s Black Hole theories.
Hawking had to go back and recalculate his findings on matter lost beyond the event horizon.
Now his theory that information is never lost in a black hole, it remains encoded in a sort of particle state.
jessi,
I vote for Marrakesh. I’ve wanted to travel in North Africa for a while. Ever since I read Albert Camus’ novels.
A Happy Death being my favorite.
I really liked The Sheltering Sky as well by Paul Bowles,
which takes place in North Africa as well.

I have a sudden urge for karaoke.

I don’t know if I should feel proud or lame that I never tried mushrooms or other “hard” drugs.

Darn, M4L beat me to it.
Seriously, no tension here with anyone.
“Why am I sensing tension between Jackal and Biff?”
Haha, none on my end, except for the sexual tension.
(How’s that for trying to put an end to Lech’s GOTD streak?)
