Lech, look at the Ethan Allen sofas on line. You will get an idea of various styles. They are well made pieces of furniture and you are going to need it with young kids.
Re restoration Hardware, no way. That place is off the charts expensive and not particularly special.

The couch I purchased from EA had a warranty of 5 years. Unless you go pretty high end, few outfits offer that type of warranty.
