this is better than yesterday with no electric until 5:30pm.
electrician had to call ConEd because one of the leads or wires coming into house had no ‘neutral’, etc, etc, etc. They get here and manhole cover which they needed access had car parked over it. Then 4:30 car moves so then they did their thing.

I missed my window of opportunity in the fall because no sooner had I gotten the quote for a French drain than that Artic winter was upon us and the ground was frozen.
That is on the punch list for spring. That’s important.

ha, Jessi, you mean the fake WASPY lockjaw from the girl that grew up in Bensonhurst? Give me the Bensonhurst accent!! The one she has now comes off as phony (and self-hating).
Re Mid-Western accents, I used to go to meetings with the the trading co I used to work for and I used to do this really wierd thing. In my own mind, I would repeat what people were saying and put some intonation to it. The accent was so FLAT and expressionless that it was like I couldn’t concentrate on what they were saying….like it was a foreign language. COMPLETE MONOTONE.
