lechacal,
Pneumonia is very serious, usually an admission with
IV antibiotics and close monitoring.
My wife was admitted for it 3 years ago, it had become a
pericarditis.
I shared a CSA once. Lots and lots of greens, especially the first month. Great stuff (salad veggies, tomatoes) starting in the middle of the summer (like mid-July) through early October but we wound up dumping too much stuff.
No, no homo….Lech. I mean are the packers flying through your house and packing up the contents of your house. But you knew that. I moved so many times between 2001 and 2004, it was bizarre. It was not normal. This was in the process of moving to KC, selling apartment in Brooklyn Heights, into an apartment in KC, then to a house in KC, then after Enron and closure of co, sold house and contents went to a warehouse, then ultimately to the brownstone but wound up moving stuff in in traunches. If I did not have people wrapping glasses up and boxes of blankets and sheets and towels, etc. etc. I just couldn’t have done it. In fact, after I was totally moved into Ft. Greene, I told people I was never moving again!
Gem, maybe in investment banks they are getting big bonuses but I haven’t seen our CEO and other consumer products companies get nearly as much as they used to. Do they still make a crap load? Of course, but I tend to think they actually deserve it.

and that show “million dollar listing” with the LA brokers is 1,000x worse!!”
HAAA – I love that show b/c it’s sooooo trashy and those brokers are WAY worse! Some of the homes are outrageous though – some are sorta meh – but again like NYC LA and surrounding nabes command high prices
Snappy, that is completely awesome of you to offer. Her mom is in town until tomorrow and my folks get in town tomorrow to help. I’m taking tomorrow off of work. I think we can work this out.
I recently started watching Million Dollar Listing on Saturday mornings. They crack me up. One of the brokers they showed on there briefly was featured in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Lech, if you need an extra hand, you know my phone number. Just give me a buzz.
Wendy, you should talk to Slopefarm about the Park Slope/Greenwood Heights CSA.
“I am trying to decide whether or not to join a CSA. Scott and the munchkin don’t like some veggies…”
a whole share is ALOT of food. good stuff, but you’ll definitely have to be diligent about actually cooking with the stuff.
