There is an interesting article in the NY Times about CEO’s pay within the NY hospital system. Many of these CEO’s make more than $5 million a year – um that seems insane b/c who is paying that salary? The Hospital – correct? but from what money? Insurance money that gets paid to hospitals via patients, correct?
Bring back paying for a primary care visit and make it affordable!!
I also think lab costs are a disgrace – it shouldn’t cost a patient $1200 to test some blood in a petrie dish!!
dh–I’m drunk on the streets year round, but I get what you’re saying. I’m moving to the southside soon… I’m just hoping we don’t get a repeat of a few years back when the machetes were flying in that part of the hood.
My cancer surgeon said he worked 3 months for the gov’t, 3 for malpractice ins., did 3 for charity in India & lived off the remaining 3. Man was a wonderful human being.
My tulips & lily of the valley are tall but no buds yet. Hellebore, crocus & heather are blooming as are 2 jonquils. Grape hyacinths are late & the peonys should be showing but aren’t yet.
rf,
that’s what I’m talking about,
many doctors are attempting to meet the needs of the free market.
But then they’re pounded by a huge malpractice insurance increase or rent increase and prices go back up.

Snow drops were out 2 weeks ago in bucks. I’m sure everything’s already up there…see them next weekend
Crap- now I have to go read my lease. I may need an arbitrator here to negotiate for me with the Great EVLL.
Still and all, Legion, even if we disagree, we still don’t agree with you 😉

I wish Stanley Steemer would insulate their trucks – they’re echo chambers & the damned noise reverberates like mad.
