I am teasing you M4L. Actually she was pretty short and she was on my side, near the bar. What I did notice is that she was batting her eyes looking very cutsy-wootsy in your direction, but I actually might have been blocking her from your sight. I am sure if she was near you, you would have noticed….
“I’m sure some Hollywood promoter is already ramping up production for the “Japan-Aid” concert.â€
Yeah. Hopefully the promoter won’t take too big of a cut. And if the Japan central bank ends up injecting money into the economy for the rebuilding, hopefully they could give the proceeds of any benefit to people in Haiti – or someplace else where you can’t print money.
The SyFy Channel has been running disaster movies all week-end. The underling theme to all the movies: The government always lies and underplays he impending disaster, and The world will be save by some former scientist who has lost credibilty.
How ironic is this: the following press-release was put out by GE-Hitachi on Friday morning, right before the earthquake:
“GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) has received final design approval (FDA) from the US for its next-generation nuclear reactor, the Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactor (ESBWR), for which certification will be cleared later in the year. The reactor model has also received a positive final safety evaluation report (FSER) from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The FDA consists of a finding by the nuclear agency that the ESBWR design is safe.”

Donatella, was the girl standing next to me or was she on your side? I’m a little distraught I was this oblivious to it

“This earthquake may actually have a positive economic impact for them, in the long run.”
Totally agree benson. This will really shake up a fairly moribund country for the better.
