As Rob might say, only a “moonface” would think they were ‘escaping’ NYC crime by being here.
I watch pretty carefully when I walk up my block, because it’s very quiet. But last night I was very distracted and tired when I was walking home. I w/could have been easy pickins. Except that I was a little angry about my day’s events and might have taken the opportunity to take it out on the muggers!
Cobble, add in some exaggerated lies to this story (ie got slapped, spat on, knife to face, racial threats,….). besides helping the purchase price, it helps keep rent down too.
