  1. Would be diminishing returns on any tax hike as they would just move elsewhere, or find ways of adjusting income lower.

Also, what ‘tax breaks’ are available just to millionaires but not to anyone else?

  2. My God, D-Cat, what a freaking torture. Well, you have taken it this far, you’ll make it. Think how nice it will be when you are in there, looking at paint chip samples and settling in at last.

Re sunglasses, these glasses are regular glasses. I have reached a stage in life where I cannot read a damn thing without glasses. That is the main problem. And I am a bit near-sighted and can see distance ok, but not enough to drive comfortably or do other things which require visual acuity. I don’t want to wear contacts. Hence, I wear these glasses all the time now. Probably not good. And they turn into sunglasses in the sun. So then the sunglasses take a long time to turn into regular glasses when I go in. So I can’t see anything in the subway (good) and look like a rock star wannabe at meetings when I come in from lunch. (bad)

  3. DCB – see if all parties will agree to let the title company hold all docs in escrow, but for condo ones, to enhance the possibility that people will not try anymore last minute changes. At least then you’ll have some comfort that there’s only one last outstanding item.

  4. was just listening to NPR, they were talking about NJ budget and Christie and someone called in to point out that NJ has the 2nd highest # of millionaires in the country- 200,000 of them AND they have enjoyed tax breaks for years that CHristie wants to either continue or expand upon…

DIBS, should taxes be raised on millionaires in order to bring in $$$ for the state?

  5. I thought I finally was going to close tomorrow. The bank agreed, the bank’s attorney agreed, the seller agreed, the seller’s attorney agreed. My attorney agreed.

Now the condo management company is saying they may not have enough time to update documents due at closing.

    I am exhausted!
