i finally found a new place to get my haircut. place called “hair metal” – salons are sorta gay, so loud Slayer playing and heavily tattooed people make me feel more manly about spending 50 bucks to get my haircut.
“Ever have one of those days where you’re sure you’ve done something bad that you need to repent or apologize for or whatever but you can’t figure out what it is?”
Sounds like homefront. Work, in your environment, they have no trouble telling you, I would imagine.
DCB – I go to the gym regularly – 3-4 times a week. I love it – best thing I probably do for myself….
of course am pregs now so I just go out for my daily walk and work out with light weights at home to keep the arms tone….
as soon as I have this baby I will be counting the days to return!
arkady — are you talking about the barbers between 3rd and 4th street? I went to them for years, though not anymore. Nice guys, pretty good barbers but not great. It helps if you love rat pack and doo wop music. Those guys live for their music collection. Oh, and if you get your hair cut in December, they put out quite an impressive spread of liquor, to which you can help yourself. Before that, I went to Frank and Rocco across the street, until they closed. Rocco was true old country and only spoke Italian, but we would manage to communicate by just talking soccer (“Holland good this year”).
clippers, jackal? I would think you go straight to a buzz with no scissors invovled.

mad conceptual shit
Slopey – The one I mean is the one w/ the decorated window – little village at Xmas, etc.
I hate going to gyms. I walk the bridge and dance around the apartment.
Haircut and color every 6 months – $110 total per visit.
I try to go the gym in my building on a regular basis. There are weeks where I go five days, but last week I went once.
I did a 4 mile race a week ago, and have another one in 2 weeks, so that gives me extra incentive to work out.
DCB, what can I say. I grew up very poor and the tight with money habits have been coded into my DNA.
$2k. you’ll like the ending too.
When I say clippers I mean the buzz cut clippers.
